HISTORY OF THE SOMERFORD SHOW
The Somerford and District Horse & Horticultural Society are proud to present the 125th Somerford & District Show, Saturday 15th August 2020
The Somerford Show is believed to have been born in 1885, as the Somerford Dauntsey and Seagry Horticulture and Floral Society. The same year The National Trust was founded in Britain, W G Grace completed his 100th 100 v Somerset at Bristol, and George VI was born. A good year all round.

The Show has only been missed when it was cancelled during the period of the two world wars! The Show and the committee celebrated the centenary year in 1995.
THE COMMITTEE
The Somerford Show is made possible each year through the hard work of our committee and the wonderful support of our community and sponsors.
We make a special thank you to the Sturgis family for the kind use of the Show Field.
